Military Time Converter Software
Most countries use military time or the 24 hour clock as their standard time telling. The United States and Canada use the 12 hour clock as their standard for telling time. Their military personnel use the military time clock and most government entities have now adopted military time as standard issue. For civilians used to the 12 hour clock though, it is time consuming to switch from one to the other. That is why the use of military time converter software is a handy tool.
It is relatively simple to use the military time converter and once you have used it a few times it is easy to just plug in the numbers and convert them to the appropriate time.
Convert Standard Time to Military Time
In the first box you will put in the hour you want to convert. The next box, following the colon, you will input the minutes. If you are inputting a whole hour with no minutes put 00 in this box. Then you will select if the time is A.M. or P.M. This is important since military time follows the 24 hour cycle. Finally, hit the “Convert” button and the converted time will appear in the last box.
Convert Military Time to Standard Time
You will notice that this converter only has one box to input information into. That is because military time follows the 24 hour cycle and therefore A.M. and P.M. denotations are not required. You will put the fully military time in the box without spaces or colons; example is 0243. Then you will hit the “Convert” button and the converted time will appear in the last box. The output will be in standard time; example 2:43 A.M.
